CUENCA

Cuenca is a city the autonomous community of Castilla-La mancha, and it is its capital.

The shield is the one we can see in the photograph.

Cuenca has an area of 911,1 Km² and 53.389 residents in 2022.

The most touristic side are the hanging houses they served as a place of refuge for the poor and homeless. To see the hanging houses, the best place  is from the San.  Pablo Bridge, which is 60 meters long.

Other very well known and beautiful part is the Cathedral of St.Mary and St.John. Outside this Cathedral, is celebrated the San Mateo festivity.

This festivity starts the 21st of September and last four days. Those in days, the people in Cuenca release the cows in the  historic centre and its ends with the traditional '' fire bull ''.

In addition an establishment to satisfy hunger that is very recommended is Figon de pedro in which the most delicious dish is the morteruelo and migas, and finish your route through Cuenca, I recommend that you visit the castle district, that it overlooks the San pablo Bridge and the two rivers that surround the city.

Therefore I hope that if you're going to visit Spain, you will go to this beautiful city with many years of history.
