Vitoria
Vitoria is a lovely city located in the Basque Country, in the northern part of Spain. It is the capital of Álava province and has about 250,000 residents. The city sits on a hill with a view of the Bay of Biscay and is surrounded by mountains. Vitoria has a lot of historical landmarks to see, such as the Cathedral of Santa Maria, the Palace of Ajuria Enea, and the Old Town, which UNESCO declared a World Heritage Site in 1994.
There are many festivals in Vitoria over the year, and one of the most popular is the Festival of La Blanca in August. During this festival, people wear white and green, which are the colors of the city. There are lots of cultural events, concerts, and parades to enjoy.
Vitoria is a beautiful city with a lot of history and culture to discover. You should definitely check it out if you're ever in the Basque Country.
